The facility has a capacity to refine 3,000 barrels per day and was built in the oil fields of al Remelan, in the northeastern province of Hasakeh, activists told SANA national agency.
They added that this refinery will accelerate the volume of Washington’s piracy and plunder of the country’s natural wealth.
On the other hand, in the last 24 hours, the Pentagon’s military drove out a caravan of 79 tanker trucks with looted crude oil to neighboring Iraq.
The Syrian Oil Ministry has previously denounced the United States and the SDF steal more than 80 percent of the country’s crude oil production, forcing the country to depend on imports to meet its hydrocarbon needs.
The Kurdish-majority SDF militia dominates most of Syria’s oil-rich Al-Jazira region and receives weapons, money and training from U.S. occupation forces.
