Al-Haj Hassan indicated that Lebanon two sources of energy, in its exclusive maritime zone, in dispute with Israel, but Washington obstructs Beirut from using them to favor Israel, its main ally in the Middle East.

In the opinion of Hassan, the situation in Lebanon includes internal causes related to the economic system and external ones due to the blockade from regional and western powers.

If Lebanon could extract its oil and gas, he added, it would have solved many of its problems, despite the ongoing financial meltdown.

Since the end of 2019, Lebanon has suffered the worst socioeconomic crisis in decades, causing a devaluation of more than 100 percent of its national currency and the collapse of its banking system, its once star sector.

According to specialists, the economic war imposed by the United States, accompanied by another on the part of countries of the Persian Gulf, aggravated the situation to the point that almost 80 percent of Lebanese live below the poverty line.

The head of Hezbollah (Party of God), Hassan Nasralah, assured that Lebanon is the target of harassment by Washington that aims, aimed at, humiliating it and subjecting it to dictates favorable to the Tel Aviv regime.
