Cuban province works to strengthen state and private industry

Santa Clara, Cuba Jan 12 (Prensa Latina) Today, in the Cuban province of Villa Clara, the Economy 2022 plan included strengthening state and private industry, increasing exportable items and substituting imports.

The governor of this central territory of the island, Alberto Lopez, while meeting with directors of Economy and Planning and officilas of the People´s Power, emphasized the need to apply rationally, effectively and efficiently the budget the Cuban Sovereign State granted for the development of the country.

He highlighted the importance of prompting food production, fight inflation and speculative prices, strengthening and promoting the display of the socialist State enterprise and diversifying the exportable items, as well as achieving greater efficiency in investments.

Likewise, he pointed out the importance of consolidating the 198 existing local development programs, among which is the strengthening of the production of the construction materials and the increase in the production of asphalt used in the repair of urban and rulars roads.

He also called on applying the teams of specialists of the overall bodies of the economy and accounting gropus in order to achieving greater autonomy of municipalities regarding decision-making on the economic plan and the use of the State budget.

He also indicated that priority attention should be given to individuals, households and communities in vulnerable situations, with the support of the economic plan and the local budget.
