Iran willing to participate in Syria’s reconstruction

Damascus, Jan 13 (Prensa Latina) Iran's Minister of Roads and Cities Building Rostam Qassemi on Thursday said in Damascus that his country is willing to participate in the restoration of Syria.

This nation has been facing since 2011 a war that left great devastation in infrastructure and housing.

We have good experience in the construction of apartments and buildings, and we can transfer it to Syria and participate in reconstruction projects, the Iranian minister told the press after he was received by Syrian Foreign Trade Minister Samer al-Khalil.

Qassemi revealed that the two sides will work for reviving the signed agreements and increasing trade exchange, in addition to establishing a Syrian-Iranian free zone.

In turn, the Syrian minister called on Iranian companies to invest in his country and take advantage of the facilities offered by the new Law in that matter.
