The presidential morning press conference, led by Secretary of the Interior Adan Augusto Lopez on behalf of President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, who is still confined due to Covid-19, was dedicated to this issue.

Gomez explained that the library’s collection consists of 172 publishing imprints from the country and abroad, 40 of which are for preschool, 40 for primary, 40 for secondary, 27 for youth and 25 corresponding to mothers and fathers.

The head of the Education Secretariat delivered a collection of books called “Coleccion Centenario” (Centennial Collection), which gives continuity to the commemoration of the SEP’s centenary. There are 11,300 books that will be distributed throughout the country’s libraries, she said.

The book “Mexico grandeza y diversidad” was also launched, with the purpose of strengthening knowledge about Mexico’s history, diversity, ethnic, linguistic and social culture.

Thirty specialists from different educational institutions in the country participated in its preparation.
