On Tuesday, three people died of the disease and the total number of deaths in due to the pandemic rose to 8,348 since March last year.
With this figure, Cuba’s lethality rate is 0.83 percent, much lower than the world’s 1.68 percent and the Americas’ 2.02 percent.
Data released on Wednesday by the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP)indicate that 33,762 patients have been admitted, including 16,269 suspected cases, 181 who are under epidemiological surveillance and 17,312 confirmed cases.
So far, 17,270 patients have a stable clinical evolution and 42 patients are being treated in intensive care units: 12 in a critical state and 30 who are severely ill.
