On his Twitter account, the president stressed that the visit has allowed him to talk in the neighborhoods with producers and exchange with young university students.

“We have a great people and I am convinced that we will get ahead,” Diaz-Canel tweeted.

After three days of work, the evaluation of the fulfillment of the agreements reached at the 8th Congress of the Communist Party (PCC), will conclude in Sancti Spiritus today.

Young leaders of several research projects presented the results of the use of renewable energy sources and food production to achieve food sovereignty.

Regarding these initiatives, framed in the projections of the PCC work, the Cuban president called to continue promoting them on the basis of the experiences and knowledge acquired.

During a tour of the Agramonte neighborhood, one of the 43 vulnerable communities in the province, Diaz-Canel urged to create spaces for the healthy recreation of children and young people, to involve the population in everything that is done and to ensure that the institutions based in the neighborhoods take responsibility for what happens in them.

According to the website of the Presidency of Cuba, Diaz-Canel said that prosperity “will be achieved by working together”.

The head of State insisted that we must go to the spiritual beyong repairing the physical, in order to solve social problems, to work with families that have some dysfunctionality, with those who have vulnerable situations.
