According to the report, the Head of State passed a normal routine check-up on Friday in a hospital where he underwent a catheterization, something usual in a person who suffered a heart attack years ago. The procedure showed the President’s heart and arteries are healthy and properly functioning.

Secretary of the Interior Adan Augusto Lopez also confirmed the results of the medical check-up and explained that it was not necessary to perform any other type of surgery, beyond this brief procedure that lasted about 30 minutes.

He added that the 68 year-old President, who has just recovered from Covid-19 for the second time, this time due to the Omicron variant, is in perfect health and on Saturday he resumed his personal and family life normally.
