Taliban delegation talks in Oslo with Afghan civil society leaders

Kabul, Jan 24 (Prensa Latina) Delegates of the Government in Afghanistan and members of the civil society of the Central Asian country talked in Oslo about the national situation, it was disclosed in Kabul on Monday.

Headed by Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Government team expects to hold talks with Western diplomats this Monday, Pajhwok News Agency reported.

In a closed-door meeting on Sunday, the participants agreed that the talks offered solutions to Afghanistan’s problems.

Following the talks, Afghan government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said that the attendees agreed that Afghans should work together to improve the country’s political, economic and security situation.

Later, the delegation led by Muttaqi will meet with representatives of Western countries to discuss the humanitarian crisis and the human rights in Afghanistan. The serious Afghan humanitarian situation, the economic crisis, girls’ education and women’s rights are issues of the meeting’s agenda, the source stated.
