According to the program, at the event participants will describe the implementation of the inmunization campaign in the island, as well as the support to the medical needs of other countries, “in the face of a six-decade-long economic blockade imposed by the U.S.”
David Adler, general coordinator of the organization that groups left-wing activists from around the world and promoter of the Union for Vaccine Internationalism, made the introduction.
In a tour of the country´s biotechnological institutions, Adler acknowledged Cuba´s development of vaccines against Covid-19 and the process of mass inmunization of its population.
He expressed his gratitude and satisfaction for the presentation and the opportunity to learn aspects of the Cuban experience and the immunogen development strategy.
“We are impressed by this great story that is the health and development of Cuban science”, he affirmed at the Finlay Vaccine Institute, developer of Soberana 01, Soberana 02 and Soberana Plus.
Our organization, he added, “has the purpose of disseminating the advances achieved in Cuba in the field of vaccines and thus contribute to export this model”.
