Covid-19 cases continue unabated in Mexico

Mexico, Jan 26 (Prensa Latina) The pandemic in Mexico continues rising, although there is a reduction in the speed of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infections, the Ministry of Health warned today, reporting 44,902 positive cases in 24 hours.

Thus, Covid-19 cases accumulated since February 2020 now total four million 730,669, while the death toll rose by 475 yesterday, for a total of 303,776.

The Ministry reported that 3,808,000 people overcame the disease.

Regarding hospital occupancy, it reported an increase of one percentage point for both general and ventilator beds, to reach 44 and 26 percent, respectively.

Regarding the update of the National Vaccination Strategy, 380,097 doses were applied yesterday, with an accumulated 161,4 million.

The agency reported that up to Tuesday 83,3 million people received at least one injection, of which 93 percent, that is, 76,6 million, completed their scheme, and 6,7 million have half immunization standard.
