Lawmakers have among their objectives the follow-up of the development of the different economic players, specially the transformations of the socialist business system, compliance of the Budget Law, with priority to municipalities and attention to social problems.

In this regard, President of the National Assembly called to continue working more efficiently and enhancing the use of science, innovation, social communication and initiative to permanently assist the work of the parliament and the State Council.

Esteban Lazo urged that each of the activities be distinguished by the dialogue and the link with the people in neighborhoods, communities, labor and student centers, as well as support for programs and tasks of the country, and the follow-up of agreements of the Parliament and its legislative activity.

He also insisted on the relevance of participation and popular control in each process, and to be consistent with the meaning of the concept of People’s Power, as recently called by the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel.

He pointed out that 2021 was a year of hard work in which valuable experiences in the functioning of the governing body were recovered.

He warned that 2022 will also be complex and will require “the dedication of all, in the preservation of unity and the strengthening of our Socialism”.
