Rogozin wrote on his Telegram channel that during the conversation they exchanged views on the operation of Russian Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS) ground stations located in Cuba and on remote sensing of the Earth.
The Roscosmos director pointed out that the information from domestic and foreign spacecraft has real scientific and practical value and is in demand by both Russian and Cuban consumers.
According to TASS news agency, Roscosmos’ 2019 annual report reported the deployment of a Glonass ground station in Cuba. These stations are used to improve navigation signal accuracy.
