According to a report from Cuba’s Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), 10,569,265 Cubans have received at least one dose of the homegrown Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala vaccines, including convalescent patients, who have been administered a single dose of Soberana Plus.
Some 9,347,177 people have already received the second dose, and 9,013,778 have been administered the third one.
In addition, 5,348,499 people, more than 40 percent of Cubans, have received a booster shot.
In total, 34,278,865 doses of homegrown vaccines have been administered.
In this regard, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez on Monday stressed that Cuba has administered over 34 million doses so far.
“Cuba has fully vaccinated 93 percent of its vaccine-eligible population (that is, those people without any health problems who can be administered the domestic vaccines), and 58.9 percent has received the booster shot. Our people are better and better protected every day,” he said.
