Local activists quoted by national television said that bombings were launched by the Turkish army and local extremist groups that operate under its command, and the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), a US-sponsored separatist militia.
In addition, heavy Turkish artillery shelling targeted the town of Abu Rasen and the surrounding villages in the northwest of Hasaken province, causing huge material damage and the displacement of civilians, according to SANA new agency.
This exchange of attacks occurs just hours after a Turkish air operation, “Winter Eagle”, carried out by drones against the SDF headquarters, barracks, warehouses and patrols in several areas in northeastern Syria.
