The meeting, which will be focused on recovering from present health and economic crisis, was one of the agreements reached on Tuesday by the Directors General of the World Health Organization (WHO), World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and WTO.

The directors Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Daren Tang and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, respectively, reaffirmed their commitment to work closely together to help overcome the pandemic and its devastating human, social and economic impact.

The directors also reviewed the progress made on initiatives announced in their June 15, 2021, joint statement, where they bowed to cooperate on medical technologies to fight Covid-19.
