According to the report on its website, 42,181 new infections were added in the last 24 hours, surpassing the five million reported, something never imagined when the pandemic broke out two years ago.

The Ministry adds that, in terms of deaths, the country has 307,493 as of the last count, of which 573 were happened rom yesterday to today.

The technical report also counts 642,050 suspects, 8,553,701 negatives, 219,881 estimated actives and more than one million cases in less than a month.

It was on January 4 when Mexico surpassed four million infections, and at that point it had accumulated 299,711 deaths from the disease.

From that record number until this Thursday, 1,19,222 new infections and 14,377 suspected coronavirus deaths have been reported, including those pending laboratory verification and those in the process of epidemiological assessment.
