The legislator denounced, in statements granted in Damascus to Prensa Latina, that this criminal blockade against the two sister nations prevents access to medicines, food and basic products the citizens need with the aim of starving them and trying to subjugate them.

Our peoples are resilient and firm, have full faith in their homelands and will not allow anyone to bring them to their knees, Jary stressed.

According to the legislator, when Washington and its allies fail to achieve their objectives, they resort to the economic blockade policy to subjugate peoples as they did to Cuba after the triumph of its Revolution and with Syria after its victory over the terrorist war sponsored by the United States, Israel and their allies.

The president of the friendship group thanked the island for the donating Covid-19 vaccines and said that Cuba extends its hand of solidarity to the Syrian people when the United States and the European Union are imposing a blockade that prevents Damascus have access to food, medicines, vaccines and medical supplies.
