Data provided by the Public Health Ministry (Minsap) show that the country has accumulated 1,52,220 infected people and 8,439 deaths since March 2020.
The country’s lethality rate is 0.80 percent, well below the 1.46 in the world and 1.82 in the Americas.
The health institution’s report indicates that 18,267 patients have been admitted, of which 10,823 are suspected that might have the ailment, 180 are under surveillance and 7,264 are confirmed with active SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Of the latter figure, 7,210 patients are in stable clinical condition and 54 are being treated in intensive care: 18 critical and 36 severe.
In the last few hours, 1,737 medical discharges were granted for those who suffered from Covid-19, 397 more than those diagnosed.
A total of 1,37,798 patients have been recovered (98.5 percent of all confirmed patients).
In order to face the epidemiological situation, the country is accelerating the anti-Covid-19 vaccination campaign and the administration of booster doses.
Thus, 88 percent of the entire Cuban population (9. 842 728) have already completed their vaccination schedule with the country’s own immunogens Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala.
At the end of January the country accumulated 34.504,944 doses administered throughout the island, Minsap reported.
