Drug trafficking camp dismantled in Venezuela

Caracas, Feb 6 (Prensa Latina) The National Bolivarian Armed Forces of Venezuela (FANB, in Spanish) dismantled a clandestine camp that ran drugtrafficking activities in the southwestern state of Apure, the military high command reported.

“In offensive operations of coordinated attacks in the Apure cross-border axis, the FANB located and destroyed a camp with a TANCOL laboratory (Colombian armed drug trafficking terrorists) in charge of processing cocaine from Colombia,” Operational Strategic Commander Domingo Hernandez said.

This senior officer added that the FANB will continue patrolling and surveilling every territory of this South American country to defend its national sovereignty.

In a recent speech, accompanied by the military high command, President Nicolas Maduro said that, in 2022, Venezuela must completely eradicate the so-called TANCOL groups, which are systematically trying to cross the border to settle down in the Venezuelan territory.

In early January, the FANB increased its operations in the Apure state due to bloody armed clashes between irregular groups from the Colombian department of Arauca, which borders this southwestern region.
