A report by this sector in this capital on Monday was about the relevance of the Meeting on Commercial, Gastronomic and Service Techniques held at Ranchón La Giraldilla, in Havana, over the weekend.
Spokespersons of this area note that the full mastery of techniques by several specialists from different restaurants of the capital proved Cuba’s potentials in such an essential sector for the future of tourism in the country.
They added that the meeting was held as part of activities for the Day of Gastronomy Workers in Cuba.
Gastronomy director of Havana’s Business Group of Commerce, Lazaro Camacho, spoke about the participants’ qualities and skills and praised the pursuit of the best solutions to problems.
Camacho said those meetings evaluate each contestant as in an exam and seek solutions in the face of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.
Cuba reopened tourism on Nov.15, 2021, and gastronomy is an essential part of this endeavor.
