Russian ski jumpers win first Olympic medal in 54 years

Moscow, Feb 7 (Prensa Latina) The team of Russian athletes participating in the ski jumping competition at the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing took second place in the mixed team category.

Composed of Irma Majinia, Ekaterina Avvakumova, Danil Sadreev and Evgueni Klimov, the squad competing under the banner of the Russian Olympic Committee scored 890.3 points. The first place went to the Slovenian team 1,001.5 points, while the third place went to Canada (855.6).
