According to the company, quoted by the Franceinfo, the shutdown of some of these reactors will be extended, which could complicate the situation of electricity supply.

EDF stressed that it is investigating the safety conditions of France´s 56 nuclear reactors.

At this time, the details of the overhaul operations or the location of the reactors are unkown.

As part of its program, EDF adjusted estimates of the electricity production from nuclear power plants from 300-330 terawatts/hours to 295-315 in 2022.
