In a series of messages published on Twitter, the foreign minister affirmed that the Colombian Government is trying to spread its “false positives around the world, one of the specialties of the government chaos, after the production and drug trafficking”, he asserted.

Once again Duque expressed his “concern” about the presence of the so-called dissidents of the extinct Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and other criminal organizations from that country in Venezuelan territory, following a meeting between the Executive and Russian Ambassador in Bogota Nikolay Tavdumadze.

In this regard, Plasencia affirmed that the Colombian president is lying when he tries to blame Venezuela for the deaths of signatories of the Peace Agreements, “which his government has boycotted since the beginning, massacring more than 1,000 social leaders, activists and former FARC combatants” in the last year.

Likewise, he questioned the attempts to “export” to Venezuela the violent conflict that has affected the neighboring country for more than 70 years, which has forced 10 million people to live in permanent internal displacement due to violence and governmental mismanagement, he said.

Plasencia also stressed Venezuela’s willingness to strengthen ties with Russia and other strategic allies in the world, with a view to promoting multi-sectoral exchanges and deepening bilateral relations in favor of the people’s prosperity and security.

After the meeting on Monday in Bogota, Russian Ambassador to Colombia Nikolay Tavdumadze reaffirmed that Moscow’s cooperation with Caracas can never be used to attack any country in the region or affect its stability.
