Speaking to Rossiya-24 television channel, Naryshkin noted that such “dangerous lies” have been spread from “the other side of the Atlantic” and then they were expanded with the help of European media.

He stressed that the main threat to Ukraine is the armed conflict between Kiev’s authorities and the Donbass region, a problem that, in his opinion, can be solved only through diplomacy, particularly, by the implementation of the Minsk Agreements.

Reports by Western politicians, diplomats and media about Russia’s alleged plans to invade Ukraine have been more repeated in the last two months, actions that have been repeatedly denounced by Moscow.

Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov described that strategy as an empty and unfounded escalation of tensions and emphasized that Russia poses no threat to anyone.
