In exclusive statements to Prensa Latina, the official pointed out that after a two-year impasse of the event as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and the drop in international tourism, they did not expect to achieve a considerable number of business deals, a reality that has been totally different.
In this regard, Cutiño explained that Turkey is an important market for Cuban travel agencies, both because of the interest of its nationals in the Caribbean destination and because it is a bridge to Europe and Asia.
He explained that Cubanacan Hotels, with its 117 establishments in Cuba, plus one hotel administered in China, arrived at Emitt 2022 with the principle of continuing expanding its products with foreign chains not only to sell hotels, but also experiences and fantasies.
“We seek with our management to focus on clients, through the five brands we have registered, not only on sun and beach destinations, but also on the enjoyment of Cuban culture and traditions through the E Hotels, located in heritage cities,” Cutiño stated.
On the other hand, he stressed that it is significant for the stakeholders present at the fair how Cuba has faced the SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus, and continues selling safety by implementing its epidemiological protocols that allow to boost tourism at complex times.
The rest of the Cuban delegation at Emitt 2022 during the penultimate day of the event continued establishing links with those who come to the Caribbean island’s stand interested in the options offered by Cuban travel agencies, such as Havanatur and Cubanacan.
Emitt 2022 will run until February 12 and is consolidated as one of the five most important tourism exhibitions in the world, which annually attracts around 45,000 industry professionals, as well as holidaymakers who are looking for new and exciting opportunities from destinations and travel service companies from all over the world.
