Data from the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) show an increase in 2,924 doses on Saturday to 9,857,305 people with the complete vaccination scheme, accounting for 88.1 percent of the population (11.3 million).

The number of people who have been administered one dose of the Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala (CIGB-66) vaccines rose by 2,089 to 10,591,122 nationals, including Covid-19 convalescents who received a single injection of the Soberana Plus vaccine.

Of that total, the administration of the second dose has benefited 9,361,479 people, 1,438 more, and the third dose was given to 9,036,906 citizens, 2,054 more, according to the MINSAP report on February 11.

In addition, the administration of a booster dose has already benefited 5,722,905 Cubans (2,715 doses more than on the previous day). This figure accounts for more than 50 percent of those classified as vaccine-eligible population.

MINSAP reported that 34,712,606 doses have been administered to Cubans, so Cuba has the global leadership in the rate per 100 inhabitants, ahead of Chile and the United Arab Emirates.

The number of people with at least one injection among 10,592,122 Cubans also ratifies the Caribbean nation in third place globally, only behind the United Arab Emirates and Portugal.
