Cuba reports 257 Omicron cases

Havana, Feb 14 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported on Monday that 257 cases have been detected with the Omicron variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes Covid-19 in the country.

According to MINSAP, last week 28 people were detected with that variant.

During the day, the Ministry of Public Health reported that in the last 24 hours 792 people were detected with Covid-19, four patients passed away due to complications from the disease and 13,876 samples to detect the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus were analyzed.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, in March 2020, 1,061,524 cases have been reported and the death toll is 8,476.
