Angola and Namibia seek to boost cooperation

Luanda, Feb 15 (Prensa Latina) Angola and Namibia on Tuesday are reviewing the common interests to strengthen the bilateral cooperation in several economic areas, in the context of the visit of Namibian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah to Luanda.

After debating at expert level, both Governments started this Tuesday a ministerial meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX), with the participation of the top executives from several organizations.

According to the Angolan Foreign Ministry, the two sides will sign a memorandum of understanding on trade, investment and promotion of the industrial cooperation, and an agreement for the establishment of a business forum between the chambers of commerce of the two countries.

During their week-long stay in Luanda, the Namibian business delegation will travel to Bengo and Kwanza-Sul provinces to see first-hand several productive projects, among them banana plantations and industrial factories.
