Spokesman for this company, Krzysztof Maciejczyk, said there was a deflagration in one of the production plants, which led to an explosion and completely destroyed one of the buildings of the complex.

When he was interrogated about the possible causes of the explosion, Maciejczyk commented that it was too soon to reveal them, but he assured that workers and neighbors are out of danger.

The spokesman said that the company will appoint a commission to investigate what happened in the next few hours.

The plant belongs to the KGHM group and is considered the most important civil explosives factory in Poland and one of the biggest in Europe.
