The Al-Surya national TV channel reported that Syrian soldiers concentrated in two checkpoints in the localities of Al-Mujebrah and Tal Dahab in Qamishli municiality, in the north eastern province of Hasakeh, intercepted two US caravans, each with four armored vehicles.
According to this media outlet, the columns had to turn back and retreat from the area as soldiers and residents persisted in preventing them from crossing the two localities to reach their destination in the illegal bases that Washington keeps in this nation.
Moreover, hundreds of people protested against the SDF militia, which prevents the return of displaced families to their homes in the areas controlled by them.
The demonstration took place at the al-Bassel roundabout in Hasakeh, the provincial capital, where other ones calling for the expulsion of US forces and its mercenary SDF militia have been staged.
Washington has at least a dozen bases in Syria, most of them in oil and gas fields in the north eastern Al-Jazira region, mainly in Hasakeh, and a base in the area of Tanef on the border with Iraq to prevent any type of land communication between both countries.
The Syrian government has denounced the illegal presence of US troops many times, which it described as occupation, and said that US actions in Syria stimulate terrorism and seek to destabilize the country and loot its riches.
