The Ministry’s deputy director general of internal security, Mawlawi Shirahmad, explained that the new officials will create night patrols to prevent armed robberies, in addition to monitoring the activities of regular security forces.

Whoever wants to compromise security, our message to them is not to try, because they won’t be able to, warned Shirahmad, adding that that the special unit has 500 officers.

Kabul residents welcomed the move, considering it useful to improve the deteriorating situation in the city.
