According to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry, this is the 101st package of restrictions and affects the financial sector, especially a list of people punished as part of the White House’s continuous attempts to change Russia’s path.
The statement added that despite the evident uselessness of the efforts undertaken over the years to hinder the development of Russia’s economy, the United States has deliberately resorted again to restrictive instruments that are ineffective and counterproductive for its own interests.
Moscow proved that despite the costs of these sanctions, it can minimize the damage, according to the statement. It also stressed that pressure will not succeed in influencing the country’s determination to defend its interests.
To the Russian Foreign Ministry, the arsenal of US foreign policy is trapped in stereotypes of an unipolar world with the false belief that the United States still has the right and power to impose its own world order rules.
It emphasized that Washington has no other resources than blackmail, intimidation and threats, a strategy that does not work with world powers, especially Russia and other key international stakeholders.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated that Russia is open to a diplomacy based on principles of mutual respect, equality and consideration of the principles of the parties.
