Iglesia-ortodoxa-300x225
Moscow, Feb 23 (Prensa Latina) Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) has foiled a terror attack, organized by Ukraine's Right Sector extremist group, on an Orthodox church in the Republic of Crimea, authorities reported on Wednesday.

During the operation, six Russian citizens, who are supporters of that group, were detained for planning to detonate an improvised explosive device in one of the Orthodox churches on the peninsula, in southern Russia.

Components to make explosives were seized in the garage of one of the detainees, while instructions for their production were found in their communications devices, according to the FSB communiqué, published by TASS news agency.

Correspondence with details on the plotted terror attack and evidence of the complicity of the detainees and the Right Sector (Pravy Sektor) organization in the propaganda of the radical ideology on the Internet were also found, the FSB stated.
