The territory opened its range of business opportunities to foreign markets with 34 new offers, disclosed here a study by the Department of Foreign Trade and Investment and International Economic Cooperation.
The items incorporated basically corresponded to the food sector, and the demarcation has eight branches of foreign investment linked to non-state forms of management, while the portfolio of opportunities was expanded with five other projects, the source added.
Low economic sustainability of the companies, poor training and lack of speed in the processing of documents, constitute the main deficiencies detected the previous year by specialists of the aforementioned provincial department.
Among the potentialities of Matanzas, the document added, the elaboration of blown containers in alliance with the Spanish market, and the production of pipes and hydraulic connections, in collaboration with China, stand out.
