Moscow, Feb 25 (Prensa Latina) The airports of Moscow continue to cancel or reschedule flights as a result of the Russian military operation that began on February 24th in Ukraine, causing the closure of airports and airspace in various countries.

Until 07:19 local time this Friday, 13 flights were postponed and another 58 canceled at the Vnukovo airport; 7 and 16, respectively, in Domodedovo; and 7 and 60 in Sheremetievo, the most important air terminals of the city.

On Thursday, Russia closed its airspace to commercial aircraft in areas bordering Ukraine until further notice as a result of “a high security risk for commercial air flights due to the use of weapons and war matériel,” an official statement said.

For its part, Russia’s air transport agency Rosaviatsia ordered the provisional closure of airports in the cities of Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Anapa, Gelendzhik, Elista, Stavropol, Belgorod, Briansk, Kursk and Simferopol.

Over 260 flights were cancelled and delayed in Moscow airports on Thursday, the Sputnik news agency reported.
