Now the international community’s attention is entirely on the incident in Ukraine, and relying on it, Washington stepped up its sanctions campaign and pressure against Moscow, he affirmed in a statement.

The portfolio recalled that the cause of this event lies entirely in the hegemonic policy of the United States and the West, which usually resort to despotism and arbitrariness in their treatment of other countries.

It is absurd for the US and its European allies to advocate at this stage respect for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, in the midst of a war incident caused by them, after having reduced Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya to rubble, the ministry stressed.

The Foreign Ministry pointed out that reality once again proves conclusively that the world will never be at peace if the unilateral and double standard policy of the United States persists, as it threatens the well-being and security of sovereign countries.
