Speaking at the meeting, held in Geneva, Switzerland, the foreign minister noted that in these hours of pain and uncertainty it is necessary to adhere to the preservation of life as the most supreme of human rights.

“Which is the first victim in a war? Truth or life? Truth or human beings?” he wondered.

On the other hand, Cafiero insisted that multilateralism is for Argentina its natural sphere of diplomatic exercise, and reiterated the commitment to negotiation and talks as a form of international coexistence.

We are convinced that multilateral tools will grow in prestige the more effective they are in solving the challenges and crises of Humanity, he said.

I come from a South America that is characterized by an enormous capital in this world of uncertainties: it is a zone of peace. Of lasting peace, noted the head of Argentinean diplomacy in his presentation, during which he thanked the countries for their support and vote of confidence in his nation, elected to chair the Council for the first time in its history in 2022.
