He also reported that the Russian military forces put under their command the territory of the Zaporizhye Nuclear Power Plant, whose personnel keep the facilities in operation and monitor the radioactive situation.

Russian troops also seized Chernobyl, a site where a reactor exploded in 1986 and witnessed the world’s worst nuclear disaster in history.

According to Konashenkov, Moscow’s military aviation achieved air supremacy over Ukraine, while the Armed Forces hit 1,114 military facilities since the beginning of the military operation on February 24.

The Ministry’s spokesman indicated that 31 Ukrainian control points and communication centers, 314 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 57 multiple rocket launchers, 121 field artillery and mortars and 274 units of special military vehicles have been disabled.

Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that Moscow has no plan to occupy the territories of that country, the aim is to “demilitarize and denazify” Ukraine and defend the right of nations to self-determination.
