Cuba has administered nearly 35 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines

Havana, Mar 1 (Prensa Latina) A total of 34,996,575 doses of vaccines against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes Covid-19, have been administered in Cuba, the Ministry of Public Health announced on Tuesday.

According to the Ministry’s website, 10,608,113 people have received one shot of homegrown vaccines, whereas 9,373,641 people have been administered a second dose. Some 9,052,579 Cubans have received a third shot.

In addition, 9,880,948 people, that is, 89.2 percent of the Cuban population, have been fully vaccinated. According to Cuba’s National Statistics and Information Office, Cuba had a population of 11,180,000 inhabitants by late 2020.
