The Cuban diplomatic staff started the analysis of the bill, under referendum across Cuba, which will be discussed by over 20,000 Cuban collaborators in at least 671 meetings slated for this month.
At these meetings, officials of the Cuban embassy and consulate in this South American nation exchanged ideas and proposed changes to the articles of five titles essentially regarding the issue of affiliations, parental relationships, marriage and other topics.
The participants agreed that the new proposals included in the Code are novel, in tune with the current situation in the country.
The Cuban Family Code bill was also described as groundbreaking, innovative and especially a law devised to essentially protect Cuban families.
The diplomats and their relatives slammed the media manipulation attempts against the Code by counter-revolutionaries in the country and abroad.
Finally, Rodriguez highlighted the quality of the debate and said this analysis will be carried out across the nation and the Code is a work of love, devised for the protection of all Cubans.
