Pakistan delivers 3,600 tons of wheat to Afghanistan

Kabul, Mar 1 (Prensa Latina) Pakistan's special representative for Afghanistan Mohammad Sadiq Khan has announced on Tuesday that 28 trucks carrying a donation of 3,600 tons of wheat arrived at the Torkham border crossing.

Khan said in a series of Twitter posts that the humanitarian cargo was handed over to Afghan officials, The Khaama Press noted.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan Manssor Ahmad Khan handed over the shipment to Afghanistan’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture Maulana Fazl Bari Fazli.

Speaking to media, the diplomat stated that Islamabad is cooperating with the Afghan Government and its people for humanitarian reasons.

Pakistan maintains brotherly relations with Afghanistan and fully cooperates to provide food, medicine, education and medical aid, he said.
