After meeting with Polish President Andrzej Duda in this capital, the senior official said NATO will not engage in the conflict.

Stoltenberg recalled that NATO’s member countries are providing Ukraine with different types of military support and financial and humanitarian aid.

On Feb.24, Russian President Vladímir Putin said that, to respond to a request by the leaders of the self-proclaimed Donbass republics, he would launch a special military operation in southeastern Ukraine, which is unfolding.

Putin said Moscow’s plans do not include the occupation of Ukrainian territories.

The Russia Ministry of Defense briefed that the army is not attacking Ukrainian cities and the military infrastructure is being desactivated through high-precision means, while civilians are not in danger, the department assured.
