Ukrainian nationalists capture personnel of European organization

Kiev, Mar 1 (Prensa Latina) Ukrainian nationalist forces have captured vehicles with personnel of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Special Monitoring Mission (SMM), the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) militia reported on Tuesday.

According to the report, both the 20 vehicles marked with OSCE SMM logos and the officials traveling in them have not been found and DPR authorities fear that the fact will be used by the nationalist forces to accuse them as part of a provocation.

Earlier, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission reportedly shut down its video surveillance system at the contact line and started preparing for evacuation from Donbass.

The OSCE mission started working in Ukraine on March 21, 2014, following a request on the matter, a decision that was approved by all 57 OSCE member states.

The mission included about 1,000 observers and has offices in Kiev, Donetsk and Lugansk.
