According to the official, the danger posed by the conflict with Russia, the world’s largest country and Europe’s second largest state, cannot be underestimated.

In this regard, the line of the alliance is extremely clear: we will not interfere militarily, the chancellor noted.

However, Scholz confirmed that Germany intends to continue supporting Ukraine and providing military and humanitarian assistance.

In the face of Kiev’s increased warlike actions, last February 24, in response to the request for support from the leaders of the self-proclaimed Donbass republics, Moscow recognized the independence and sovereignty of both territories.

The agreement between the two sides included the establishment of diplomatic relations and military aid.
