According to the text issued by the State Council Information Office (Cabinet), the government protects with the law the human rights´ full enjoyment of its physically-motor and mentally 85 million disabled people.
It guaranteed access to areas like social security, employment, politics, culture, education and sports, among others, while expanding barrier-free infrastructure in means of transportation and most of the organizations that provide public services.
The Cabinet showed as an example of the advances, the growing Chinese athletes´ participation in the Paralympic Winter Games, as the national delegation went from having 10 representatives in Sochi 2014 to 96 in the upcoming Beijing 2022 Games.
“No one will be left behind in respecting human rights´. Protecting disabled people´s human rights and the para-sports´ development are an important part of China´s cause in protecting human rights”, the document added.
