Poland denies supply of fighter jets to Ukraine

Warsaw, Mar 3 (Prensa Latina) Polish President Andrzej Duda told a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on Thursday that his country has not supplied military aircraft to Ukraine.

Duda stated that he will not send any aircraft to Ukraine, because this will lead to a military intervention in the conflict.

According to the president, Poland, as a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), does not want to get involved in this conflict.

However, the press service of the Ukrainian Navy had informed earlier that Poland would supply Kiev with 28 MiG-29 multirole fighters and US-made F-15 and F-16 fighter planes.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation in Donbass within the framework of agreements with the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics.

According to Putin, Kiev refused to resolve the conflict in Donbass peacefully, and the aim of the operation is to protect people who were subjected to intimidation and genocide by the Ukrainian regime for eight years.
