Syria ratifies support to Russia and rejects campaign against it

Western propaganda to defame Russia and its president Vladimir Putin is identical to the one unleashed against Syria, its people and its government for the past 12 years, the Vice-Foreign Minister said in remarks granted to Chinese media accredited in Syria.

He warned against falling into the traps of Western misrepresentative campaigns and its lies about Russia and the countries that support it, and assured that whoever supports Moscow now protects himself from the dangers of aggresive Western policies in the future.

The diplomat denounced the use by the West of Daesh terrorists, Al-Nousra Front, Uyghurs and Pro-Turkish extremist groups in Syria, and sending them to Ukraine under false slogans and names such as “volunteers”.

The intelligence in NATO countries are the neo-Nazis sponsors in Ukraine and the so-called White Helmets and the “moderate opposition” in Syria, he stressed.

Al-Jaafari defended the reasons why Russia launched its special operation to maintain international peace and security.

Moscow went to great lengths to avoid a war scenario in Ukraine and chose to resolve the crisis peacefully through dialogue and negotiation, but was forced in the end to launch the operation in the face of Western negligence, he said.

According to al-Jaafari, if Western policies succeed and manage to impose unipolarity, it would constitute a collective threat to the security and stability of all sovereign countries and to all humanity.
