Putin and Modi talked on Indians evacuation in Ukraine

Moscow, Mar 7 (Prensa Latina) Russian President, Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minster, Nerendra Modi, talked by phone on the Ukrainian conflict, the worsening humanitarian situation and the evacauation of Indian citizens.

Putin said that the Russian Armed Forces announced the introduction of ceasefire and the opening of humanitarian corridors, the official Kremlin website reported.

The Russian head of State denouned that the Ukrainian nationalist formations continue blocking the civilians withdrawal, including foreign citizens from the areas in conflict, using brute force and resorting to diverse forms of provocations.

He warned that Indian students held by the radicals in Kharkov, managed to leave the city only as a result of a strong international pressure on Kiev authorities.

The President explained that Russian military is doing everything they can to guarantee Indian citizens evacuation from the Ukrainian city of Sumy.

According to the press release, Indian Executive head expressed his gratitude to his Russian counterpart for the measures taken to return his fellow countryman to their homeland.

During the dialogue, Putin also conveyed his views on the negotiations course between the Russian delegation and the Ukrainian representatives, the third round of which is scheduled for today.
