Cuba reports 447 new cases of Covid-19 and no deaths

Havana, Mar 8 (Prensa Latina) Cuba today reported 447 new positive cases of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19, which represents a decrease of 101 compared to the previous day, and no deaths.

The number of admitted patients is 6,934, of which 4,506 are suspects, 37 are under surveillance and 2,391 are confirmed active, according to the daily report released by the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap).

Of the total number of infections with the closure of yesterday, 426 were contacts of confirmed cases, four with a source of infection abroad and in 17 the origin of the infection could not be determined.

Designed authorities granted 570 medical discharges for those who suffered from Covid-19 and with this the recovery of nationals reached one million 63 thousand (99 percent of all those confirmed).
